Does anyone know how to take cuttings from chocolate vine and when would be the best time? (Spring, summer or fall)
Any help appreciated!
Thanks
Propogating akebia quinata
Good question, 'cause mine is about to over-run my house! I got it back in the late fall to about ground level and it comes back every Spring! I would love to propagate this humungous vine because then I would have plenty to give away!!!
I just did a quick Goggle check and I discovered this website. Here is the information on propagating Akebia quinata. http://www.gardenbed.com/source/3/264_pro.asp
I took semi hard wood cutting last spring to have to take to the round up. They did great. I tried to do some later because I wanted more they didn't do anything. But I do know they are easy to layer mine layer on there own where they grow under my land scape ties etc.
Thanks for the link! I will try in July/August to take cuttings and see what happens.
