I have planted Umbrellas from the seeds off the tree. Can I be sure that these seeds will produce Umbrellas, or is there a chance that they will be Chinaberry trees? I live out in the country and there are other Chinaberry trees down the road. How soon will I be able to tell if the seedlings will become Umbrellas?

Hi Kinder, do you know what the mother tree looked like?
I am trying to start some too.
Dad used to plant seeds and get good specimens. I dont think
you can tell right away if they will be umbrella-shaped or wildlikg shaped, but you can certainly shape them later by pruning off branches in places where you dont want branches.
Welcoem to DG you will just love it!
Where are you located?
Love, Lavanda
