hydrangeas

Minneapolis, MN(Zone 4a)

I live in Minnesota, planted a hydrangea (Annabelle) five years ago. For the first three years the blooms were beautiful and plentiful. Last year I did not get one single bloom, and this year the foliage is great but not a bloom in sight. Why is this and is there anything I can do? Thanks..cj

cj - I think it's a little early for this hydrangea to flower since we are just at the beginning of June. But...if the leaves are healthy and the new growth and emerging buds have not been damaged by any late frosts, it should flower. Take a look at this link...

Thanks Louisa, that was a great site for hydrangea growing. I'll keep my fingers crossed this summer! cj
