I have about 12 young starlings,from about three families I think, who come to my garden to feed.I couldn't believe the noise they make. Talk about squawking,screeching,squabbling.the noise is horrendous..they fight over every little thing,if one goes on a fat ball, they all fight to get them off,never mind that there's 4 more near by.Even the poor old cats slink in 'cos the noise frightens them,they sit inside the door watching in bemusement.
As aginst that, the sparrows are a bit thin on the ground. I 've just seen my second juvinile,and that's only the second this year. Both families have raised just one each by the looks of it.
the parents seem to have deserted the starlings..mind you , I can't blame them.LOL
