Hi All,
My onion plants seem to be doing well although the bulbs are not full sized, bigger by quite a bit than a golf ball.
They are forming seed pods at the top of the plant. Does this mean they will not add anymore to the root?

Onions seeds at top of plant
Cut the seed pods off. Now!
And if you can, pull some dirt away from the bulbs so they are half above ground...they'll get bigger. Don't fertilize. Don't over water. (The plants want to make seeds cuz of the daylength changing and/or stress.)
Thanks Horseshoe,
What do you mean, don't overwater? You want to volunteer to hold an umbrella over them?
Sparks
HAH!...you dawg!
Folks, me and Sparks have had more rain this past week than there is water in the river! (I know I had over 2 and a quarter inches in 24 hrs, then got another inch or so the following day and a half!)
Hehehe...guess I better start buying us some umbrellas in bulk, aye Sparks?
