Does anyone know anything about propagating Red Currant Bushes? The bushes I do have are pretty old, and would like to try starting new bushes from them (Red Lake Variety). What is the best time of year to do this, Spring or Fall?
The berries make wonderful jelly!
Red Currants
just take a branch and pin it to the ground with a rock. They root on their own....
That notion had occurred to me.....something like that happened (accidentally) with one of our goosberry bushes. Didn't know that the method could be used with currants!
Thank you.
