do i take off the flower buds that are forming on my rhubarb? thanks debi. oh it is a 3 year old plant, still small but getting better every year.

Yes, cut them off. Letting them develop this early in the year seems to make the rhubarb woody and unusable. That's been my experience.

I just had blossoms forming on my three year old rhubarb too, and I cut them off.. I read "somewhere", probably on the web, to remove them, so that is what I did. I'm glad to see here that that is what I was supposed to do.Thanks for posting this. Jacquie
