Snow and hail April 9th

Castelnau RB Pyrenée, France(Zone 8a)

This morning there is a light coating of snow a little higher up the N downs than where I am. I drove to a friend's and was surprised to see it on the ground - and then the sky went black and dropped lots of hail on me.

It went down to -6C last night and all the magnolias that were in full and glorious flower in gardens nearby are now reduced to very unattractive brown mush

PINK???
Well whose boasting then eh???
We poor Scots start as pale blue, then after six hours of sun we turn a sort of pasty white, then really white after another 4 hours. It takes us a whole weekend in Blackpool to get anywhere near pink (even in rainy weather) ... the english (almost) comedian Clement Freud (nephew of the nutcase psychiatrist), once said that Scots only have red, or brown, faces according to their drinking habits .... WELL!!, let's forget the habit, give us the bottle back luv!! Ah've gotty get a tan furra summer ... hic!!

How's the weather over with you then Barry? Any chance of a tan, or is it going to have to come out of a bottle LOL

(Got even pinker today mowing my Mum's lawn *G*)

LOL wintermoor,I won't tell you all that I've spent the last 3 days sat on my new steamer chair ,on my deck, admiring the fish. All in the line of duty of course...just making sure that the gulls don't come and take them.....rolled up the old trouser legs, even went as far as getting on the old shorts yesterday.
Today is bar-b-que day, so of course ,forecast is changing.but so far it's sunny out there, but the winds howling a bit, hubby want's to buy a chimnea to use..but I'm not so sure that I want to be covered in sparks and smoke as I eat.He originally wanted to buy one of those lamp-post type heaters..but I threatened to throw him out of the house if one of those appeared!
