Hi there. I am going by Big Lots on my way home to pick up some of the shelving units used for seed starting and was wondering if anyone could give me ideas for good seeds to start in the next week or two that would give me good results this year for cut flowers or plants to actually sell. I know this is late for seed starting in my zone 7a/b but thought ya'll might know. :)
Seeds for sowing inside now?
Batchelor buttons, cosmos, cleome, zinnias, marigolds, sunflowers, 4 o'clocks, morning glories, nigella .... You could still get some of the earlier annuals going. Plants will just be a little small when you set them out but they'll still bloom this year.
Thanks poppysue! I picked up some 10cent seeds at Big Lots too. I got bachelor's buttons, zinnia and marigolds, so I'm off to a good start! :)
You can't beat those 10 center packs!! They'll so awesome for you!
In zone 7a, you can probably plant most annual seeds directly in the ground now...Good luck and have fun whatever you do..
