New I. Purpurea cross

Albany (again), NY(Zone 5b)

Got this picture from Daturapod who asked me to post it. New Morning Glories: blue form is "Joyce Cobb" and pink form is "Rebecca Anne"

Always nice to have a little more Morning Glory madness to whet our appetites for Spring. I love the Rebecca Anne - time to start finding something to trade! :)

Daturapod - what else can you tell us about these flowers?

Those are pretty!! They looke like a tie-dye version. Larry were they accidental crosses? ... Were you expecting them to be something else?

Ipomoea purpurea a mutation
one morning a week (in the summer) i get up very early
and go hunting for native plants in bloom
and collect them. Some I got back later
and collect the seeds.

This one was a 2 1/2 hr. drive from here.
many hours of looking in ditches around bridges
corn, soybean, and tobacco fields.

I have some more but not stable yet!
