I am looking for recommendations to a source of Dahlias; the closer to the US Midwest the better.

I don't know where to find Dahlias, but welcome to DG! You will enjoy it here! If you are adventurious, by some dahlia seed. It is fairly easy to grow & comes in mixes, so you will have suprises when they bloom. Then you just save the ones that you like for the next year. Cheapest way I know of.
