ok... So I am already missing the flavor of fresh home grown tomatoes. Maybe I'm just hungry for a BLT today.
What is everyone's favorite slicing mater?
tomatoes
So many tomatoes...so little time...*sigh*
I like the large pink potato leaf ones.Pruden's Purple is always a favorite...A local heirloom,Uncle Mark Bagby is another.
Hmmm. will have to look those two up.. Maybe find some seeds and try em for next year.
Pruden's Purple you can get anywhere...the Uncle Mark Bagby is totally West KY local...but I've got seeds!
Marianna's Peace or Pink Brandywine are hard to beat for nice large slices of delicious 'mater:)
Red Oxheart is hard to beat too. And if you prefer the more fruity taste, try Hillbilly or Pineapple yellow/red striped varieties.

They all sound wonderful. The variety is truly amazing.
Those that I mentioned are the ones I will stick with from now on, with only a very few of other varieties just to make it more interesting:) I say....if u find a good thing, stick with it:)
