This came up on another thread, but I can't seem to find it. Somebody (Melody?) suggested that the reason I was having problems is that Isis Candy was introduced before it was fully stabalized.
I just got off the phone with Darrell "The Tomato Man" Merrell. One of the things we discussed was Isis Candy. Turns out that unstable doesn't begin to describe it. Darrell told me that he's never gotten the same fruit twice. Some will be like the standard in size and coloration. Others will be large, like Owen and I experienced this year. Sometimes they'll be all yellow. Or all red.
Just thought I'd pass that on to anyone growing it that if your plants aren't true to type, it's probably not your fault.
Isis Candy
I couldn't remember who said it...but that's just about what I had pegged for it too. Very unstable.
Yep. Gonna stick with my 25 yr. cherry 'mater from now on....at least it is sweet and reliable:)
