Our short stake deal is working! We have had no bad tomatoes
because of contact to the ground. Usually just let plants sprawl, first two clusters would mostly have bottem rot. The stakes were supposed to keep them off the ground. Working very well. Stakes are 24" long, about 18" above ground, one tie on most plants, some have two. Took about 40 hours to stake this field.

Thanks for the photo and tips! 40 hours must mean you have an awful lot of tomatoes.
