dutchmans pipe seed not germinating very well

I planted some Dutchmans pipe seed in peat pellets. One of them have sprouted for over a week and it just lays there doing nothing. no leaves just the tiny sprout from the seed. the rest of the seed haven't showed any signs of sprouting. What am I doing wrong. They aren't covered.

Can you give a latin name so we know what plant you are talking about for sure. Different areas have different names for the same plant.

I planted some of these also.... mine aren't doing so well either... directions said to soak 48 hours in warm water, then sow on surface and keep in direct light & warm. Did all that and still very few have germinated. Latin name. Aristolochia gigantea is the name of the ones i have.

Okay on Aristolochia -dutchmans pipe vine germination can
take from 90 to 120 days but most will germinate at around
110 days.. They need temperatures at 75-85 degree's constant and also moisture to be constant and bright indirect light.. transplant when they have some sufficient growth.. you will also loose some seedlings but hopefully will get enough to get a few vines going..
