like Kent Whealy, President of "Seed Savers Exchange" in Decorah IA. and an international garden speaker. He is the man behind the now popular seed saving movement.

Glenn Drowns , Founder of the "Sand Hill Preservation Center" in Calamus, IA. An authority on the cucurbit family (squash, melons, etc) Glenn is responsible for saving hundreds of the old-time varieties. He is also a expert on hand pollinating and rare poultry preservation.

Dr. Amy Goldman, Vice President of the Seed Savers Exchange, has been featured on a number of television programs, including Martha Stewart Living, NBC’s B. Smith With Style and Weekend Today, HGTV’s Way to Grow,PBS’s The Perennial Gardener and many magazines. Check our her melon site! Darrell Merrell, An heirloom tomato plant and garlic grower, is the founder of the popular "Garlic is Life" Festival in Tulsa, (www.garlicislife.com) and is a top expert on garlic. Always a very popular speaker at our show!

Dr. Jeff Nekola A top expert on heirloom peppers and tomatoes, he is a superb speaker and his slide show and speech was highly popular last spring at our Fest. Janet Bachman NCAT's Agriculture Specialist, involved with small farm horticultural crop production, value-added processing, and marketing. Has also sent 8 years working for Rodale and is an expert on Oriental Vegetable growing. Check our the ATTRA (NCAT) SITE!.

The subject of this years show is vine crops. You will learn history, seed saving, growing, breeding, cooking, hand pollinating, marketing, pest control and much more for many vine crops (like melons, squash, gourds, cucumbers and tomatoes). Plus other topics like garlic, gene-altered food, organics and much more! This spring we had over 1000 people from 11 states and Japan at Our Spring Heirloom Garden Festival! The speakers were superb! Plants, seeds, garden crafts and books all sold very well. This year we will again have many vendors selling, produce, plants, tools, books, garlic, honey, soap and many other natural products! If you would like to set up a booth, just give us a call.

VEGETABLE FAIR! Come see hundreds of varieities of heirloom vegetables. This year we will again have the popular Giant Tomato Contest, and we're offering a $100 Gift Certificate for largest tomato! We are also offering prizes for all types of heirloom produce. Bring any heirloom produce to display! We want to thank every one for coming, and for all the help in many ways.
