I received lisianthus seed in a trade with the warning, "I hope you have better luck with these than I did," lol. Can anyone tell me the secrets to propagating these seeds?
lisianthus
Eustoma Grandiflora, hardy zone 2- 11, biennial, soak in room-temp water 24 hours before sowing. Picture that i found ..is similar to poppy in appearance
Here is a site that has info on Lisianthus:)

I put mine on top of a plant light for the warmth - actually got about 50% germination. They have a light under them and one above them - keep them moist, water from below, use chamomile tea spray to prevent damping off. This year has gone MUCH better than last year - started them in Feb. and the plants are bigger than any of them got through the whole summer last year.
Thanks so much. I see that I am late getting these started, but hope for bloom next year.
