arsenic treated wood right next to tomatoes?

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

How bright is this?? Could the arsenic leach into the dirt, into the tomatoes when I water the tomatoes and get the wood wet?

My DH did this for me this AM before I woke up. Is he a darling or is he trying an ingenious way to get rid of me??

Fort Worth, TX(Zone 8a)

Kell-Can't comment on DH's motives-BUT yes, it is supposed to be a problem. How much? It depends on who you ask-but around here they are supposed to be taking it off the market and removing any children's playground equipment made from it.Using a water seal like "Thompsons" is supposed to help.

(Zone 6a)

And I just made a raised strawberry bed using treated lumber. Gonna eat them anyway:)
