How do I keep the worms from ruining my cannas?

I can't tell you for sure I havn't saw them but some of the leaves are rolled up and webbed and are full of holes. I just figured they were worms.

yardbird--I get the same worms every year too on my cannas. I tried sevin dust but it didn't help any. I just unroll the leaves each day myself till the worms eventually stop doing this. I was told they web the leaves to make a nest for the baby larvae to hatch and eat. I forgot what type of insect it was that does this. Good luck and if you find a solution, please let me know too. :)

Leaf rollers, try putting diatomaceous earth or sevin at the BOTTOM of the plant. They crawl up the stems, so that's why you put it at the base of the plant.

Thank you Calalily, I wondered what to do to stop them for several years now. :)
