shade loving vine

Middle, TN(Zone 6b)

I have a wonderful spot and a tall trellis already in place for a shade loving plant that can tolorate mostly shade. It will get the early morning sun and that is about all. I am in zone 6 and and would prefer having a perennial that will come back year after year. Any suggestions for me folks?

Elena,if you go back to May 22,Naturegal had posted the same question and there are some suggestions listed there.
If I was able to do the link, I would bring it up but no can do but maybe someone else would be kind enough to put the hyperlink up for you.

I have decided to plant the little climbing hydrangea that I bought from Dave. It will be next to the brick wall so my next question is how far from the wall should I plant it? I don't know how wide it will get and don't know if it will need to be attached to the trellis or will it just be free standing?
