Propogate begonias and mums from cuttings? I have both in the yard growing beautifully and would like to expand my collection. The begonias are and F1 hybrid - and they came back from last year - which suprised me - and in the same color. I'm wondering if this will hold - or if they will revert back to parent types? Also - while I'm asking - where are the seeds on these two kinds of flowers?
Thanks

How do I?
Hi Suzy, I cut pieces of my mums all the time and just stick them in the ground by the parent and keep them watered. They root quite easily. Can't help with the begonias.
Badseed: do you think that would work with the annual mums, as well?
I have found that most Begonias root easily in water.
Hey folks - thanks for the replys and keep 'em coming! I can't wait to try these. If they work - I might get enough to share!
What about tuberous begonias?
Don't know CC - I really think you need the bulbs for them, but you could try.
a mum is a mum they all root easly
you can sometimes root the tuberous begonias in perlite or vermiculite.
