Do you soak the sweet pea seeds before planting???

You can soak them but I find it easier to soak cotton wool pads (or kitchen towel) and sandwich the seeds inbetween two layers. They germinate very quickly this way.
Another method I use is to rub the seed between a sheet of folded sandpaper.

Baa: I hadn't thought of scarifying them. I usually soak them. I have an emery board at my planting table just for that purpose!
