I have a few large phormiums that are bursting out of their pots. Can I just take a saw and divide them?

That sounds a touch drastic! LOL The short answer is yes, Spring is the best time for dividing them.
Another case of you've got to be cruel to be kind! LOL - Thanks Baa

I'm just imagining the size of these plants! LOL
I absolutely love them - that's why they are so pot bound. I haven't had the heart over the last few years to cut into them. A saw is the only thing I can think of - short of a chainsaw. LOL
