I received some Lapageria seeds as a 'bonus' from a fellow in Chile. They got planted outside with a lot of other seeds, and now they're sprouting! I didn't know what they were at the time, and still haven't found out much about them, except for their name. I'm in zone 5, will they survive outside with a lot of mulching? Should I keep them in pots and bring them inside in the fall? From the pictures I've found they look beautiful. Any help would be appreciated.

Anyone with experience with Lapageria??
I've never grown it but I found this link. http://florawww.eeb.uconn.edu/acc_num/199800158.html
It sure looks pretty! My hort book says it's hardy only in zones 9-11. You'll have to bring it in or see if you can grow it as an annual,
I got those seeds too, but planted them inside and they got all moldy.....I think I'll just put them outside and see what happens. I'm glad yours have germinated - gives me hope
