It would be great if you had taken a picture of the foliage in your hand - to see clearly the scale and character of the needles/foliage.

That said: your second image looks most like a Cryptomeria japonica to me.

VV. I’ve learned from you. When my friend sends me this pic, my reply was, “too bad you don’t have pics of foliage & trunk”. Friend is considering buying this property but suspicious that the conifers are mountain cedar, to which she is extremely allergy. I’m gonba close this thread. Thanks 4 your input and 4 teaching us readers what to look for when IDing.

To me, it's like someone holding up a book at 10 paces, and asking me what the author meant. I can't even read it, much less provide interpretation!

I am always happy to provide assistance based in experience, and even a little coaching along the way. What I don't know what to do with: University of Texas in the Southeastern Conference...and Kentucky has to play them in 2024.
