Hi I have an aloe plant and I'm just curious if anyone can tell me what this is

I have seen this a lot with agaves where they put out bulbils, baby plants, along the flowering stem. It is an easy way to propagate them.

I have never seen it on an aloe myself, but I know they can do it also though far less commonly than agave.
