I thought I had some willow seeds to start trying my hand at bonsai.
It's been mentioned this might be a weed. Can anyone identify it?
Identify a plant
Looks like purple New England asters. They are perennial and a host plant for checkerspot butterflies.
Try looking up “ Epilobium leptophyllum - narrow-leaved willowherb”
Hey! If you're unsure, try posting a picture on a gardening forum or asking at a local nursery for help. Also, if you're interested, I've been growing bonsai trees for a while now, and it's a rewarding hobby! You can learn more about bonsai and how to get started at https://bonsaiforbeginners.com/an-introduction-to-bonsai-the-history-art-and-science-behind-growing-bonsai-trees . Good luck!
