I was hoping someone could give me some tips on pruning a nectarine tree that was planted in April if last year. I did not initially cut it back when planting last year. I live in southern Arizona and it is starting to bud a little early due to a warm winter. Something's say to prune it in winter, and some say to wait until after it buds to which ones survive.
I want to prune it a little to help it have some outward growth without cutting it back completely. I have included some pictures. Thank you for your help.
