What has happened to my Clematis it was fine bloomed and was looking real healthy and then this.
This is Michigan and we’ve had lots of rain and this clematis is about 35 years old.

I am so impressed that clematis is 37 years old! Looking at the 2nd photo and how spectacular it was, you must have have died seeing it going down hill. It sure looks like it made a full recovery.
I can’t tell you how scared i was the year it looked so bad I now believe in cow manure.
I really think that is what did it but maybe the Osmocote too it’s good stuff.
I want to get it back to what it was like though a few years back before it went down hill. I will look for the picture it was full of blooms.
