I planted this last year and I thought it was breaking dormancy in April. The early leaves I saw somehow disappeared - not sure if it was a landscaper's weedeater or eaten by some animal. I just noticed that it has indeed survived and is showing signs of growth. Unfortunately, it's now July. What is the growth rate for this plant and is it reasonable to expect to see any blooms this year? Should I just be thankful the plant has survived and look forward to its cheery blooms in 2022?
