Can folks suggest a good brand of potting soil? I started seeds this winter with a new brand, and I got decent germination. But a few weeks after they germinated,, the seedlings were clearly not doing well, and most eventually died. I had no issues last year, and am using the same set-up that I had last year.

Hello Fahrner,
I use the Jiffy organic seed starting mix. You can order it thru Ferry-Morse. 10 QT. 14.99. And, I used Jiffy Natural and Organic 12 Qt. 5.99 at Blair's Farm and Fleet.
They are both good. You need loose soil for starting. Then as they become established, I use Miracle Grow for Vegetables. I buy this at Ace.
I have used this method now for years.
I wish you the best of luck.

Thank you!
