Should I repot an Oreocereus Trollii with buds?

Hi all,
I recently received a gorgeous Oreocereus Trollii, it has some flower buds forming so that’s great!

Now, the pot (plastic) in which I received it has torn and even though I’ve wrapped it in foil, it is not ideal, especially since watering season has begun here in Europe. But since it is forming flowering buds, is it wise to repot the cactus?? I would think that it would maybe make the cactus have to readjust too much to be able to keep forming flowers....... then again watering is going to be tough in this state (haven’t watered it yet)
Who can help me here??
