An amazing thing happened when our winter temps reached 26-30 degrees for several days in a row here in Santa Fe, Texas, (Zone 9).. Santa Fe is 20 minutes north of Galveston and 40 minutes south of Houston, Texas. All my fully grown citrus died except for my two kumquat trees. All citrus trees were 6-10 years old and include orange, lemon and kumquat trees. I am amazed that the kumquat trees survived!
