Okay, that was fun if a bit confusing, last month link threw us to the cold snowy tree and not the thread, chuckl. 37* for a low tonite. Strange weather- the days are going to stay about the same at 64*, but the nights are going to warm up a bit each night for next 3 days.

Anderson, IN(Zone 6a)

Kitt it has been a long time since I did that , oh well , lol

19 degrees and snow covered

Winter Springs, FL(Zone 9b)

Lol, thanks to both of you for starting February, it snuck up on me, busy weekend.
Nice snowy pic, Mr. Ju.

It's really windy here, was all day yesterday, all night and still is. 42 a bit past 9AM, but the wind makes it really cold. Wind advisory and freeze warnings tonight, here maybe a bit above freezing...hopefully.
Anyway it is sunny today.

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

Ground Hog day. No shadow here, but spring comes middle of March anyhow.
Frost on all the trees. Wanted a better picture, but to cold to go out!
Went to Twin Cities yesterday to pick up cabinet doors & drawers. Not exciting, had to leave check in a box outside of the door, then go to the loading dock. Load ourselves, no contact with anybody. Drove home. Talked to the machine at McDonald's.
Very un-exciting trip.

Bet we all have plants in our houses in the winter....true gardeners we are.

44F was the lowest last night, it is already 48F pre dawn so we're warming up, yesterday turned out really nice, got up to 65 and sunny. Rain coming later today. No mosquitoes here YET.

Anderson, IN(Zone 6a)

CG near same , 19 degrees blowing snow , below zero coming up

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Says today hit 54* but I never saw it, just 47*. Drizzled for 6 hrs netted me 1/8" of precipitation. Wind had the NE cold bite to it. Had 2 loads of topsoil dropped in the yard for soil building, and a tractor and my son in law was leveling out while he could, but I think the drizzle is done. Warmer like 60's expected tomorro

Anderson, IN(Zone 6a)

12 degrees guess the wind chill , I don't want to , yesterday 27 was the high . it did not feel bad as the wind laid , Today's high may be in the teens ,

Winter Springs, FL(Zone 9b)

Brrrr....Ju.

57F this morning, that's so much nicer than two mornings ago. Cloudy and 85% chance of thunderstorms later on, says gusty wind so I better get out and get my walk in. We should go up to the mid 70's today.

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

The weatherman finally got their wish, -0 temperature. They've been whining all winter. I guess they were over heated.
Supposed to real cold this next week. As cold as it was yesterday, snow was melting off the roof on the south side of the house. Sun has power now.

Anderson, IN(Zone 6a)

4 -11 15 yeah well ,,,

more snow last night more coming and cold , cold cold ,,

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

6:32 AM -17º F.
To bad the Super Bowl is Florida, more fun if it was near here in the cold.
Don't they all say football is a cold weather sport.
Oh well I have more important things to do.
Is anyone overpaid like the pitcher that will be with LA Dodgers. $40 million for 2021.

Winter Springs, FL(Zone 9b)

Well, mother nature cut it close to be a rainy game...

A "cool" front came in last evening, rained good most the night, even had tornado warnings till this morning, but clearing and by game time in Tampa, it will be in low 70's and dropping to the 60's by the end of the game, dry and clear, even a bit of a breeze. I'm sure the Kansas boys will love it.

Anderson, IN(Zone 6a)

Started off at 7 degrees about 13 degrees now ,, icy snow rain this morning for an hour , cloudy and clear now ,

Game day , true comfort

Winter Springs, FL(Zone 9b)

LOL, Ju, and the dog is 100 pounds, so I have to really curl up.

It is warm here, 64F muggy foggy in morning, then the sun comes out. AC actually came on last night, first time in months, we shut it off since it felt fine to us.
Chance of rain this afternoon. High 84F

Madison, IL(Zone 6b)

It's so cold, I bundled up my 3 dogs this morning to go outside! Stay warm and counting down the days until Spring. : )

Anderson, IN(Zone 6a)

17 degrees about 5 inches of snow on the ground ,

KENNESAW, GA(Zone 7b)

Kennesaw Ga (Atlanta metro) zone 7b---58 degrees now. I moved here in 2019 to be near my son and children from Buffalo ny. it is 13 degrees in Buffalo tonight. My other choice at retirement was with my daughter in Proctor VT, It is12 degrees there. I made the right choice.

-15º @ 6AM
We keep trying to get this cold weather pushed south, but more keeps coming from Canada. I think they are mad because some fool cancelled the Keystone pipeline.
Southern's stay warm.
My onions & Geraniums are up!

Winter Springs, FL(Zone 9b)

hollysmac Yes, you did make the right choice
LOL @CG
greenbrain, my dog would love that, she comes with her own fur coat. Picture of her cooling herself off by the fan.
Ju, where's your pics, too cold????

Well here maybe this will make you all feel better, 8AM 68F with 95% muggy humidity...kinda gonna be like this in the mornings for a week. Doesn't feel like Spring but more like a summer morning.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

Got colder this morn as dawn passed- went to 32* on my rain gauge. How do I know the rain gauge with 3/4" was reading the temp? Iced on it and in it, ice on some plastic sheets I had out. It hovered tween 33*/32* all day and felt horrid with that 12mph north wind. My Doodle didn't even want to stay out with his 3/4" velvet fur, chuckl. Dogs were definitely fooled and unhappy too. Can't keep some of the frost cloths still, so repeat covering, but there is no actual precip right now. Houston is shutting down. They are in deep shock at overpasses with slick ice on them this mornin- lists at how to keep your warm are everywhere. How to keep your cool has people shuddering. The unusual frost cloths for this area disappeared enmass yesterday.
Yup, been to Kennesaw, a few years go they raised chain laws in Atlanta on icy days, so you might get to feel nostalgic if this gets to there. Wouldn't be usual tho, Texas sends its cold up thru Ohio Valley to NY. It heads for Ju in Indiana. I hear ya CG, that darn Canadas fault

Winter Springs, FL(Zone 9b)

That frost cloth is expensive, I got mine many years ago 60% off after a warm winter, it does last a long time.

We're expecting some heavy rain bands from the weather you're getting Kitt, the cold won't be coming down, a high is keeping that to the north, but the south winds meeting up with the cold will give us some heavy thunderstorms off and on all weekend.

69F this morning, pretty sunrise, up to mid 80's.

Anderson, IN(Zone 6a)

23 degrees today
Sun I will try on Monday snowstorm another later in the week

I'm going to be under the covers!
Cold all week.
Cold all over the country, do you think it has anything to do with politics?
Global warming for sure, Ha-Ha.

Anderson, IN(Zone 6a)

CG Sort of like Climate change ,,,,

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

11:00 PM @ 21* and very light snow falling thru the night, 10 mph northwest winds. Tiny snow here. Icicles grew on the window awnings and just kept growing.

Magnolia, TX(Zone 9a)

5am interlude, 13* and about 2 to 3" snow. My daughter decided to turn around and come home. Found a pioe in my garden spewing so water is now shut down. Says the whole city of Magnolia is dark, but we have power so far. She said she couldn't tell if she was on the road or not because of snow and dark. I have returned to bed after laying towels on the wet spots. Probably didn't pull enough water spare, think I will go back to bed.

Lewisville, MN(Zone 4a)

-26º wind chill -40º
Dr. Visit this afternoon, I am staying home.

Winter Springs, FL(Zone 9b)

Geez Kitt, glad your daughter made it back to your house safe. They're talking about TX here in FL, hope the water situation isn't too bad, the pipes froze maybe?

Ju, nice to see the plants popping up, they're ready for spring. Nice snow pics.

CG, I'd stay home too, that's too cold to leave the house.

We did get a good amount of rain past two days, creeks filled back up some. Looks like today less rain, more sun. 65/85/63F 40% afternoon rain.

After I wrote that, power went out, came back on after I climbed into bed, but now at 845 am is out again. Sun has come out, snow is 4" deep. Daughter made it to work after sun came up.
Pipe burst, yes. Unwrapped to mend but... We turned water out. Mess of the driveway. Pvc glue had solidified, will cap it when we find the glue. Got to see if I can grab some pictures with my digital. 930 am power back on.
13* feels like -3*, 13 mph wind has started slamming us
