Flower bed at the front yard

Simpsonville, SC

My idea is to create a kidney shape flower bed. I have the following available to plant: Little lime hydrangea, green-leaved Euryops ( topiary), a Japanese cedar, and I’d like to add an Azalea, when they became available. What do you think?

How big is the bed going to be? Little Lime and Cryptomeria 'Nana' (ours is over 9' tall and the spread is probably six feet) can have quite the spread unless you keep them pruned back. An azalea can become quite large too. Plan accordingly,

I understand that Cryptomeria Nana is a slow grower..How old is yours?

11 years ago we planted 3 small Cryptomeria 'Nana' bushes.

Mar 2019, last photo I took of them was last year.

I have taken a battery operated hedger and pole hedger to it a few weeks ago and have a long way to go to get it back into a reasonable mess. Maybe it would be easier for me to cut them down and buy some new ones with the promise of keeping them hedged every year when they get to the size I prefer.
