i dont know what this is called so i can look up care it has grown to tall was wondering it i could cut it off repot it or put it in water to root

Aglaonema (Chinese evergreen). This is one of the newer hybrids (probably out of Thailand).

Here is how the plant I gave my mother a few years back has grown with her green thumb.

hcmcdole did your mom ever grow tall an if so what did she do just suport it or cut it and rerooted it

Mary,

I never seen grown as tall as yours. I cut mine back after a few years, root the tops to start a new pot. The other one I gave her was A. 'Cutlass' and hers took off, mine kind of of stood still.
