The potato has many uses

For instance - for keeping evergreens fresh in the house over Christmas. Make holes in the potato and insert the stems of ivy, pine, spruce, herbs, berries etc. To conceal the potato I sometimes roll it in moss first but if you use enough material this is not really necessary. Just remember though to place your arrangement on a protective surface or in a container. The water from the potato will ruin your furniture.
