Tractor Supply in my area is selling a wisteria vine, but the vine is brown with no green leaves. Is this ok to buy and plant, or is it dead? I asked the sales associate, but she did not know. When I bent the vine back a little, the inside is green. Thanks in advance for your time and help.

Wisteria
I wouldn't buy it without leaves showing. It may be in the process of dying.
Ok, thank you for taking the time to answer. I will just have to wait and find another one. Thanks.
It could also just be coming out of dormancy. Mine is not budding or leafing yet. It is too early.
Yeah I have seen varied response to spring and so some are budded and some look sleepy
You could always verify their warranty/ return policy before purchasing
I'm with Vicki, great answer. I'm sure they wouldn't sell a dying plant. My fruit trees also had no leaves when I bought them. And my wisteria vine has just sprouted. You should buy!
