wow you got to go outside and actually work in the garden? I am jealous! It has been cold and raining ice here. ugh.
That bloom is really unusual, Jackie, I think I must have missed you posting it, or else I just forgot it. It is gorgeous!
I promised you all some pics so here they are..blooming now inside..

Thanks Debra,
Pretty blooms you;ve got going on in your basement Debra.
You've just forgotten my cross bloom. You complimented me on it when I first posted it in 2014.
A shame none of the sds I gathered made that bloom.

Gautier, MS

Pretty blooms Debra, glad your basement garden doing good.

Jackie, that's usually how it does for me. The fancier the bloom either just one of the kind and usually that bloom will be sterile or not make a seed. Happy we get to enjoy the pictures though!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I agree Helena,. Can't believe we've made it half way thru January.. We'll be
thinking Spring by next month. :-)

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Was in the 60's here yesterday, how nice it was. A little cooler today.
Debra, hope you're thawing out now and ice melting.

Gautier, MS

Still warm here. I am ready for spring. Looks like Walmart is getting ready for it too!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I have not been to a Walmart yet, but hope to go this week. Stayed up late tonight, couldn't sleep. here are some old pics from years past .. it was so nice today and it warmed up and melted all the ice into my rain barrells.
4th pic is "Kawani" from Liz, and last pic is "purple Smoke" from Becky.

Love it Helena when the stores start putting the gardening stuff back on the shelves. All very pretty Debra, love # 3 and 5.

Gautier, MS

Pretty blooms Debra. So glad we have our pictures of mgs.

I know Jackie, I'm so temped to start buying again.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I'm holding off Helena in case I see something really nice this summer that I can't live without, :-)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Thanks for the new thread Jackie.
Love all the beautiful blooms.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

You're welcome Linda.

Gautier, MS

Seems rare and neat plants can only be bought through mail order nurseries Jackie.
But I still enjoy looking just in case something catches my eyes!

From the past, 2015 blooms.

Where do you shop for your morning glory seeds?

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

I have so many from my regular traders that I hardly order any from
outside sources. I still have tons from Ronnie Becky Blue Helena and Debra.
Helena can tell you where she orders from.
I seldom buy any off the shelf at Walmart etc. I already have most of those. :-)

Gautier, MS

I also grow mgs from trades, like the pink above is from Dany.
Linda I do get tempted and buy mgs seeds on Ebay, just type morning glory seeds on their site. There's about 10 pages to look at. I still enjoy growing my favorite mgs from year to year. Walmart has a few that are good if your just starting to grow them.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, love your blooms above. The blue is a gorgeous color but I
love your pretty pink split petal.
Thank you for sharing some of those sds with me.

Gautier, MS

Glad to share Jackie. Gloomy day here, raining.
Sorry the pic was kind of blurry on that blue, couldn't tell until afterwards.

From 2015 bloom.

I to have gotten seeds off of ebay, from Emma and from Oona Lee, but not for a long time. I have not even grown some of the species I got from Emma. I have so may seeds from all of everyone, it is always fun to see what may have bee crssed accidentaly. I tend to grow my favorites year after year, ad If they don't show I feel out of sorts. LOL The su is out and when it warms up I am going out and clearing out the
tubs and fence areas in preparation. I am also going to "throw" down some poppies and frost weed and some lobelias. I have a tulip pod of seeds I need to plant now just to see if they come true from the parent "purple parrot", and some milkweeds I have not tried yet.
I love that Blue, Helena and believe I have planted some of those in the past that you shared.

Stunning bloom Helena, I love it.

Beauties from Aug of last yr Debra.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Beautiful blooms everyone.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Somehow I missed all the above posts from here, so going back to read them, I do't understand this deal sometimes. Just came in from a sunny, breezy afternoon, throwing out perennial seeds and spreading barberry branches over my pots. Got my hugs and kisses from all my dogs around me, it felt good to be outside. took cuttings of beauty berry, loaded with seed pods, pink with red center ROS, and red snowberry to get seeds from and we will see how the cuttings take after that. I had a blue and white fuji bloom downstairs, missed the photo opportunity.
I think I saw china doll in my stash, Jackie.. do you want a couple of them? They came from you.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Debra, I bet they came from Helena. My China Doll hasn't been making many sds lately. I think I still have a few from Helena so hang onto yours. I'll yell
next season if I need a few. :-)

Gautier, MS

Really gorgeous blooms Debra. I think I shared seeds of CD with you last year.
It's an old time favorite!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

I think u r right, Helena. They have your handwriting. I am looking at them. I had this chalice vine for almost 5 years, it never bloomed but grew and grew, so I trimmed it back and gave it to my gardening guy .. today he brought me in the first bloom from it, it was huge.. I didn't have my camera to take a pic of it at work, it was so big and yellow!

Beautiful chalice vine Debra.

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Oh my. Sending prayers for a speedy recovery Jackie.

Gautier, MS

Jackie, wishing you a speedy recovery!

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Dear Jackie, I hope you know we care about you. Try to feel better soon. Sticto is all budded out and I have missed three blooms.
