Someone told me that you can plant store bought asparagus stalks in the ground and they will take root. I have not been able to find any info about this on the web, which leads me to believe that it's not true, but thought I'd ask if anyone has had any success with it?
Question about asparagus starts
You need to buy asparagus crowns and plant those. Then, you'll have to wait for at least the second or 3rd year of sprouts before you can harvest any to eat.
Hi stephanietx; thanks for the reply. I know that it takes a few years to harvest.
