Thanks for the new thread Jackie, beautiful morning gloried.

Debra, it is funny how those trees can self seed when you don't want them to!

Gautier, MS

Pretty blooms Jackie. Thanks, though they are favorite repeats from previous years.
It will be awhile longer till I get new ones.
Linda, those round seed pods are from my weeping bottlebrush tree. I need to trim it, maybe it'll bloom more.
Here's a pink speckled that bloomed this morning along with the other 2 vines.

Thanks Linda and Helena.
Helena, we are enjoying the mg blooms you are getting, very pretty.
I;ve planted at least one of your Pink speckled, looking forward to a couple of speckled blooms this season.

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. I hope you get pretty blooms from those speckled Jackie.

I was playing with my camera to see if I could get better close up pictures of my mgs, actually I asked DH, so I took these pics after he set it on manually. I want to be able to take close up pics of my mgs b/c I have no problems with my phone camera (which I like very much!).

Beautiful blooms Helena and great close-ups. I know you told us your phone makes/takes great pics and close-ups. Your close-up on thse blooms is
outstanding. These pics with your digital camera right? Are you still not able to upload pics'from your phone camera???

Gautier, MS

Thanks Jackie. Yes, these pics are with my digital camera. I hope I will be able to take close up pics of my mgs. I just didn't like the lenses getting foggy when it got hot and humid and at times the colors didn't come out right. I tried the other day to up load from my phone camera and couldn't. The message says something like its not jpg or something. But when I download them to my computer it does say its jpg. I might have to edit this after I check and write down the exact message. Maybe it will be all right with my real camera. I was just not able to take close ups of the purpureas since they have smaller blooms. I will have one bloom from a Ip. nil even if it's a repeat bloom, the vine took a break.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, mine takes foggy pics too on hot, humid days.
I am impressed with the'
close-ups your camera took. I don't know how to with mine and it shows when I try to send one. Guess I need to check my manual to see what I;m doing wrong.
Hope you;re able to resume using your phone camera soon. I cant imagine it taking any better pics than the ones you just sent, :-)

(Linda Kay) Amarill, TX(Zone 7a)

Helena, those are beautiful pictures. Your doing something right. I too hope you can get your picture format correct soon.

Gautier, MS

phone pic. well, I think it worked this time. surprised me. That's why I only posted one pic.

Also from my phone camera. I did take pics with my real camera, the only difference is the numbers and jpg in small letters on my phone camera and JPG in capital letters on real camera. Last pic is with my real canon camera.

Beautiful pictures everyone.

WOW AND WOW... I AM AT WORK AND THIS BREAK IS WORTH IT JUST FOR THE BEAUTIFUL EYE CANDY. THANKS FOR MAKING MY DAY, ALL OF YOU!
SORRY BOUT THE CAPS LOCK.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks girls.

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies too. Pretty blooms Jackie. I like that first striped purple lavender & white too. I'm starting to feel like I'm posting too many repeats with the purpureas. But...that's mostly what is blooming for me though I see buds on other vines to open soon. It needs for it to warm up a bit more for the vines to having more buds.

Those are so pretty, and I never get tired of the repeat blooms.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Helena, don;t worry about your repeats. We love'your purps.
Some of your other nils will be blooming soon so you will be sending both kinds.
I have HBlues started but need to start Flying Saucers, both tri-color species.

Ochracea back in 2012. It looks awful now, no sign of a bloom; buggy and root bound,

Gautier, MS

Thanks Linda and Jackie.

Love your Ochracea picture Jackie. That yellow color is so envied and sought after!

I never had much luck growing HBlues so haven't started any. I did have a dark color of Flying Saucers that are growing nicely.

ME NEITHER! I NEED TO SEE ALL YOUR BLOOMS, EVERY DAY THAT I AM HERE INSTEAD OF THERE LOL.
SORRY ABOUT THE CAPS LOCK, I AM AT WORK. HAVE TO TELL YOU I HAD TO UNTANGLE AND UNDO THE PURP, I NIL, STICTOTCARDIA AND YELLOW PASSION VINE LAST NIGHT, WHAT A MESS, THEY WERE ALL WRAPPED UP IN EACH OTHER IN THE LIGHT FIXTURES AND TRYING TO GET OUT THAT UGLY BASEMENT WINDOW, HAD TO STICK THE TOPS I CUT OFF IN THE FISH FILTER TO HOPEFULLY ROOT AND SAVE.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Thanks Helena, I do love FS, one of my very favorites, Hope yours
makes lovely blooms. for us all to enjoy,

The untangling is such a chore Debra. Wish I could figure out a way to
eliminate that problem.Hope your cuttings all take.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Have to show you your baby seedling Jackie.. awwwww ":D

I did not know you could start morning glories from cuttings. Let me know how it works.

Love your seedling Debra.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

oh yes, Linda, my sister used to make cuttings of morning glories all the time, she said when one was broke from the dogs or the wind she would just bury it and keep it moist and boom, there would be the glory again with new vine. I start my cuttings in the fish filter... if they root I go ahead and plant them and if they rot I throw them out. it is a chance thing with me. .. currently in the filter.. all the tops of the vines from this window...2nd pic is how it looks tonight..3rd pic is the fish filter cuttings .. completely undid a lot of stuff and took it out to get rained on, and the front basement room is almost empty. my clematis is gorgeous, Joe took the 4th pic

I have tried to post 2 times since Debras post. Don't know where it went. Might be my computer, my daughter claims it's acting weird. I love Flying Saucers Helena, I started one each of the last 2 yrs but it didn't germinate for some reason. I might just have'to enjoy yours. :-)
Debra, wish I could figure out a way to keep my vines from tangling. Hope your cuttings take,

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Jackie, I planted one of the FS seeds I have, ti is up, try one or two of the ones I sent you on the FS. It looks beautiful outside after our little rain. Kinda chilly, tho this am. Off to work!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Debra, Page 2 throwing me for a loop again. Thats where my missing post went, of course. Your baby seedling looks great and all of your plants in the basement.
So warm here, I will start carrying mine out of the g house soon.
I have your pkt of FS out on the table to start a couple. I want to start one outside on the fence too.

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies. All your plants look great Debra! Love your Clematis, I bought 2 last week but haven't planted them yet, dahlias too. DH is going to be surprised I bought a couple of tomatoe plants to try and a little hot pepper plant.
Here's what's blooming today! The yellow lemon Lilly is much darker (not orangy at all).

Hope you do start FS Jackie. I'm about to start taking my plants out of the g-house too. Also finding my little red mgs around the yard. I'm planning on planting my purpureas into the ground, some of the roots are already coming out of the bottom pots.
Lot's of my salvias have been blooming!

My goodness, look at all the beautiful flowers.
Keep posting them ladies.

(Debra) Derby, KS(Zone 6a)

Golly Helena, is that a milkweed I see , too? You are rocking with colors right now.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Lovely Lantana Helena, Pretty Salvias too.

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies. Most of my plants didn't get hit by frost bad so they were able to bounce back and flower sooner. That is Milk weed Debra.

Here's what bloomed today. Jackie, I checked on my FS and look at all the buds getting ready to bloom!

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Beautiful purps Helena and I love the gorgeous I nil # 4.
Look how differently tri-color holds her buds. I can't remember if its always
in groups of 3. Won't be long b4
the buds start showing color. :-)

LOOK AT THE NUMBER 4, I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT..

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Debra I agree, Helena's # 4 is a beauty

Gautier, MS

Thanks ladies. Another bloom from #4 Lav-Purple stripes. But really neat bloom from Milky Way cross, wants to be a Ip. nil. A imperfect dark purple bloom today and another bloom from what looks similar to Pink Ice, which I did have years ago, not in order that wrote about.

sometimes I wish there was a "like" button here LOL Love them all, that purple is outstanding! I also love the lav-purple stripes. well shoot, I love them all.

Jacksonville, AR(Zone 7b)

Those are all lovely Helena. I'm in love with your Lav Purple Stripes. Is
the 3rd bloom the Milky Way cross?, very lacy looking, I love it,. Still have 1 eye with a cataract so can't see the pink in Pink Ice.
My eye Dr said Wed that my eyes are doing so good that I can put off my 2nd cataract surgery for a while. I still could read at 20/30 even with the cataract.
Also I don;t have to go back to the retina specialist this time,.
:-)
