Drip Irrigation and critters chewing up lines....

Winter Springs, FL(Zone 9b)

We've had our drip irrigation system for well over four years now and have always had to replace lines due to the squirrels chewing them for water. This happens more in the the winter since it is our drier season.

We did a good inspection yesterday and it is like the critters had a party and chewed up more than the usual. We have a lot of lines to replace.

I'm just wondering if anyone else with the drip irrigation system has a problem with the critters eating holes in the line. I'm imagining they do this for water to drink. What if any solutions have you come up with????
