Germinating Periennial Lupines

Central, AL(Zone 7b)

This will be my first attempt on germinating these lovely flowers seeds. So I use the one week cool stratification method. I wrapped them in moist paper towel, then put them in the fridge last Saturday. Hopefully I can put these seeds in peat moss pots by this coming weekend.

Looking forward to spring.

I put some nicked lupine seeds in a wet paper towel on Monday and they broke through the seed casing today (Wednesday). I put them in small plant cells with seed starting mix this evening and hope they will pop through the mix in the next few days.

Deb, here goes! About 50% of mine germinated within a week time. How is yours going so far? I was told that these do not tolerate roots disturbances. So I'll plant these pots and all when weather is warm enough.
