I was cleaning up the yard the other day and was saddened to see that my one-healthy Douglas Fir was shedding needles. This tree was a gift to us when we got married 8 years ago and came up to my knees. It is now about 8-feet tall. The only thing I can think of is that we had a very dry summer and now, a dry autumn as well. But, of course, I am not an expert on fir trees. Can you please shed some light?
