I have a lot of shade and have always wanted hostas, especially the tiny mouses, but every zone thing I read has them in zones 3-8/9. I don't understand what that means ... if something is hardy to zone 8/9 I would not hesitate... I get that part, but not the multiple zone designation. HELP, I've fallen and can't reach my Osmocote! TIA, Syb
Hostas ok in zone 10?
If you have shade you are golden. Make sure you amend the soil with compost and you should be good. Watch out for snails, they love Hostas. I garden in 9b and while my Hostas are nothing to brag about my neighbor has beautiful Hostas. She grows them in a defunct water fountain.
