How to force Desert Rose seedlings to branch

Mesa, AZ(Zone 9b)

I posted this picture a few weeks ago. Since then I have pruned the tops of these seedling hoping to force them to form additional branches. They responded by growing new single upright stems. No additional new branches. How do I get them to start developing into beautiful Desert Rose plants?

Here is some quick great info on Adeniums:
http://www.theamateursdigest.com/adeniums.htm

It says:
"To keep the plants bushy, in spring cut back half of all branches. This will make those branches produce more branches and hopefully more flowers."

I would definitely wait until spring now and do as they say.

I agree with Nancy. Sometimes the cuttings can be rooted into new plants. Rooted cuttings will grow into nice plants and flower but they don't get a caudex.
Did yours root Nancy?

Yes, Gary, it did! I put rooting hormone on the cutting and then planted in pumice. I put a baggie over it and put under my lights in my laundry room. It actually flowered in the baggie! Then about 2 weeks later it now has nice roots.
