Parodia ottonis or Echinopsis

Inland S.E QLD , Australia

Hoping someone here can tell me what I have. I thought it was Parodia ottonis but would like to know for sure. Have not seen it flower but has developing flower buds.

I would say an Echinopsis. It doesn't have the long central spines of Parodia ottonis.

You may well be right. I would love to know which sp as it doesn't look like any of the more common Echinopsis that I have here in my collection. I have searched countless times and been unable to find anything that looks similar hence why I thought it may be a P. Ottonis var as it does look very similar.

Post again once it blooms. We should be able to determine exactly what it is then.
