i planted some allium bulbs last fall and not a one has come up. we do not have squirrels . we had a hard winter and did not see the ground till april. help!
regarding allium bulbs
The commonly-available Allium species are extremely hardy, and easily survive colder zones than yours. What kind of alliums did you plant? Do you know what the foliage would look like?
Can't offer much help, but misery loves company. In Boston, I've had bad luck with all kinds of alliums. Some come up once or twice and then disappear, some send up foliage but no blooms. I may not have enough sun. On the other hand, allium sphaerocephalon is so invasive that I'll never get rid of it.
