Can blue flax seedlings which were directly sowed a month ago be moved to another part of the garden? They are about 1.5-2 inches tall now.

Blue Flax (can established seedlings be moved)
Yes, just dig deep, as they develop a long tap root even when young, and then be sure to keep them well watered.
I tried it on a few plants in the fall, when they were much bigger. I did not dig deep enough-I broke the tap root and they did not survive. At this point it should not be so hard.
I've moved younger (not old, mature) plants successfully. One just has to be careful.
Moved my 2-month old seedlings 4 days ago, they seem to be doing just fine!
Good to hear.
