Lavina who saw them on The Desert Speaks
Chiltepin peppers
Lots of sources : http://www.totallytomato.com/dp.asp?pID=03024&c=36 http://sustainableseedco.com/heirloom-vegetable-seeds/pe-t/pepper-heirloom-seeds/hot-peppers/chiltepin-pepper-seeds.html http://shop.nativeseeds.org/collections/catalog/chiltepin http://www.localharvest.org/seeds-chiltepin-chile-C22792 http://www.reimerseeds.com/chiltepin-hot-peppers.aspx
I love chiltepin / chile pequin / chile tepin...
all three are kissin cousins, as different shapes
of tiny " bird peppers"
Just fyi, I would avoid Hirts, I haven't had
great luck with them. (the company)
Last spring I ordered live chiltepin plants from
Hirts, and they were unproductive, did not
bloom, and the plants did not resemble bird
pepper plants.
This year I did not drag my feet and am starting
them from seed !
Actually the best method of planting is the let the
birds plant them for you, with the plants emerging
as volunteers !
Farmer Dill listed some other sources above. Sometimes companies vary in the quality of their plants and seeds.
Thanks folks
Lavina, pls Dmail me !
